Broken MotoRazr v3t GSM cellphone? Battery problems?

Hello.

I think there's something wrong with my MOTORAZR V3t GSM cellular phone
and/or its battery. I believe it ran out of battery power last night
before I charged it even though I didn't use it. I charged it. In the
beginning, it said "Charging battery". After a few hours (even
overnight), it says it is complete so I disconnect the recharger cable
and try to use it. However, it is dead (nothing on screen and no
lights). Pressing buttons do not seem to do anything.

I reconnect its charger battery cable, and same results. A couple times,
it didn't want to recharge and it gave me a blinking black screen.

Is the phone broken? Or battery needs to be replaced (didn't remove the
cover to check that I might void its warranty).

I rarely use this cellphone. The last time I used it was last week. I
don't know if the problem is related to the heat wave (has been in 90F
degrees lately). I have had something like this problem/symptom before
when the cellphone needed a full recharge and everything seem to have
resetted to defaults. It looks like the problem got a lot worse.

I keep the closed cellphone in my left pant pocket (sometimes can be
crowded/tight and very warm [not hot]), but I don't think that should be
a problem.

I am going to try another recharger from someone else and see if that
helps (probably won't make a difference)

Thank you in advance. :)

Trying a new charger is not going to hurt but you are right most
likely will not help. However removing the battery and putting in
another will have no effect on the warranty. I would suggest trying
the battery out of your friends phone. If a different battery and a
different charger do not make a difference it can only be the phone.
Eliminate as much as possible
